ROLE PLAY
ROLE playing is one of the most effective training methods. This technique is an excellent way to achieve a number of benefits for employees, management and support people.
There are three distinctive stages in a role play session:
(1) The briefing where the facilitator sets the stage. He / She describe the scenario and the roles available. The briefing phase is also the “warm-up” phase for all participants.
(2) The play phase. The players act their characters according to their role descriptions. The scenario / characters are either introduced by the facilitator or in game by the players themselves.
(3) The debriefing. Everyone involved, the players, any observers and the facilitator should be given the opportunity to present their experiences in the role playing situation to the plenum.
Role-Playing is an Excellent Exercise for:
- Improving selling by applying various selling solutions
- Analyzing problems
- Job interview to see how comfortably they communicate
- Developing teamwork, cooperation, and creative problem-solving
- Exercising for improving listening skills
Role playing allows a group of employees to act out work (experiencing) of real-life situations. As a training method according to “cone of learning” it achieves the best results. (see in table below)
